About Me

I am a multi-disciplinary theatre artist and voice teacher, with a 15 year background in professional performance and a B.M. in Music Theatre Vocal Performance from New York University. The theater is where I began my community-based education in the performing arts; its influence grounds my intersectional teaching praxis. I believe strongly in the educational sovereignty of the performing arts as a field of study. I continually strive to educate my music students through an intersectional lens that values engagement with critical thought. As a former middle school math teacher and long-term math tutor, I'm exceptionally well equipped to tutor all levels of mathematics through high school. Tutoring provides me with the opportunity to contribute to the academic success of students in all subjects and to promote intersectional learning. A fierce advocate for engagement with critical thought, I champion the growth of my students with tenacity and care.
