About Me

Hello! My name is Teacher Lauren and I would love to help tutor you! I am a graduate of Texas A&M University Commerce. I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Texas teaching certification for grades EC-6th as well as my English as a Second Language Supplementary certification. I have taught in a traditional classroom for 5 years, focusing on elementary and middle school Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. I have also taught for an online ESL teaching company for the past 3 years, teaching students ranging in age from 3 to 17.I am most passionate abouttutoring Reading, Writing, and ESL.I also can help students prepare for a standardized test because when I taught in the traditional classroom for 5 years, all of my students had to take the standardized test at the end of the year. When we prepared for the test, I preferred to use fun learning games and activities to help them understand and learn while still having fun. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two children, playing with my dogs, reading a good book, and going for a run in the great outdoors. Thank you for taking the time to read about me!
