About Me

I am a graduate of St. Francis College! I have a BA in English and minored in Creative Writing and American Studies (literature). I love working with students and started tutoring at Writopia Lab located in the Upper West Side in NY. I had a lot of fun there teaching students how to write stories, spell, and write essays. After graduation I travelled to Croatia where I helped teach kids to speak English! I then joined Americorps and taught & tutored 5th/ 6th grade ELA (English Language Arts) in Newark, NJ at Great Oaks Charter School, in large and small group settings. This previous summer I taught 2nd grade ELA, reading, STEM, and math at Incarnation in Washington Heights. I adore books which is why I have interned at publishing agencies such as Creative Media Agency and now Carol Mann Agency. I read, edit, and write reports on unpublished and published books every day and specialize in grammar, syntax, and writing (creative, essays, etc). Although my experience is mostly with lower and middle grades I am confident I can also assist students in high school too. I can't wait to meet my students and help them achieve their goals and dreams!
