About Me

I am very excited to be a potential tutor to your amazing student!! To begin, I am a Special Education teacher at Bowie High School. I coteach English 2 and next year I will be teaching Resource/PC English 2 along with Coteaching English 2. When coteaching, I collaborate one on one with the General Education teacher to prepare academially appropriate and mentally stimulating lesson plans to instruct together. I differentiate instruction for all students so that the instruction is being comprehended in their academic level and also make sure any accommodations/modifications are being met. Also, I have my own caseload of Special Education students in which I become knowledgeable of Special Education laws, gather data for ARD meetings and participate in them. I also work with teachers to make sure the students are being accommodated appropriately and answer any questions they may have about accommodations, goals, or anything in the IEP they have frustrations/concerns with. I know a thing or two about multitasking and differentiation and do a great job at it. No one student should be taught the same way. I love getting to know students and learning about how they learn so that I can instruct them in a way that allows them to show growth. I've had many years of tutoring under my belt. I have tutored students in elementaty school and also tutor my high school students before and after school.
