About Me

I am a math teacher at King's Way High School in Vancouver, WA. In 2016, I earned my B.A. in Mathematics and Russian from Portland State University (PSU). In 2017, I got my Masters in Education, also from PSU. This 2017-2018 school year will be my first year of teaching, and I am very excited to begin my career as an educator. I came into this field because I believe that my strength is my ability to present and explain math in a way that's easy to grasp and appreciate. Anybody can copy and paste the formulas onto the blackboard or screen, but not everybody can take a seemingly complicated subject and break it down into simple, understandable terms. In my practice, I want to make it my mission to make math interesting and engaging for all students.
