About Me

Hello! I am a MS Finance Graduate with and Undergrad in Psychology, bit of an odd combination, I know. I first started tutoring when I was in Middle School with a student that cut a deal with the teacher Korn will play at school dances if he went up a letter grade. Needless to say he succeeded and got his wish and since then I have tutored on and off. I decided to join Varsity Tutors because I want to continue helping people closely one on one and get the rush when a student finally has Eureka! moment. I currently am a business owner and I have a rather diverse path corporate, intern at a fund-of-funds & incubator, worked in two psychology research laboratories (Social Learning Lab & Neuroscience Memory Lab), and was a line therapist for children with autism. My background lends itself for me to have a varied perspective. Working with children with autism gave me skills to adapt to many different learning methods and challenged me to think of all possible approaches to teach a lesson or skill. As for my spare time, I like to play sports, watch sports, play video games, hike, watch movies, read, cook, traveling, and learn random skills.
