About Me
This May (2017), I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) at Stockton University. At Stockton I was a researcher assistant, where I worked with Drosophila melanogaster, the common fruit fly for a year. In addition, I was a teaching assistant for a biology laboratory (Biodiversity and Evolution) last fall. Currently, I am a substitute teacher for the Ocean City Schools District. Through my experiences, I learned that I love science and teaching. My favorite subjects being biochemistry, genetics, chemistry, biology, and molecular biology. As a tutor, it is my goal to inspire students to pursue science, just like my teachers have done for me. Additionally, I want to enhance my students studying habits to ensure that they are not only ready for a subject related to science, but any course they will take in the future. I believe each student is unique and teaching should cater to their individual needs. In my down time, I enjoy hiking with my two dogs and playing my trumpet. Also, I like to read comics (the Bat Family in particular), manga, and watch anime and cartoons. Yes, I know I am a nerd.
