I am a patient, understanding educator who has high expectations for her students. When they say, "I can't, " I say, "You will. And it's OK that it's not yet."Currently, I am a Special Education Teacher at a Charter School in Plainfield. I work with students in grades 2, 3, 5, and 6. Throughout the school day, I assist in their classrooms as well as take them out for extra support in a small group setting which my school refers to as "Intervention Lab." It is here that I work on goals and objectives from their IEPs.I absolutely love coming to work everyday. I see the benefits of individual and small group attention and I am looking forward to sharing those experiences with you!

My teaching philosophy is to appreciate and acknowledge all types of learners by keeping students engaged in the lesson. I also believe in adding rigor at a young age in order to prepare children for college.
