About Me

My name is Erin. I am currently a teacher in Houston ISD. I teach PPCD (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities). I have been teaching for 5 years, but involved in the child care industry for 7 years. I've worked for after school care programs and learning centers. At the school I currently work at, I also tutor 3rd-5th grade for the STAAR test. I am a graduate of Texas A and M University, with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies. I hold a certification in special education EC-12, general education EC-6, and ESL supplemental. I believe in establishing rapport with both the students in my classroom and the students I tutor and focusing and capitalizing on their unique ways of learning and retaining information.
