About Me

Dear Hiring Manager,I hold a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Colombia. In (1984) I completed my Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE). I am working towards becoming a certified teacher in the Connecticut. My teaching skills, commitment to education, and passion to help others will be an asset to your school. Currently, I work as a freelance teacher for Spanish on the Green, a company providing Spanish language learning for New Haven community members. (Here explain what you do. For example: I lead beginning Spanish language classes for five people every week. ) In addition to my work at Spanish on the Green, I participate in the Forward Leadership Program of Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. As a participant in the program, we are required to do a service project. I am the team lead for the tax assistance (VITA) service project. It would be a great opportunity to begin as a non-instructional teacher before I receive my teaching certification. I bring a diverse background and commitment to teaching.
