About Me

I am a software engineer with a strong math background. I'm passionate about the subjects I teach and I'm looking to encourage that enthusiasm in my students. When I first began working towards my degree I started to tutor both college and middle school students in math. I found that I enjoy teaching and since then have tutored in Math, Science and Engineering. I am comfortable tutoring students with learning challenges. I personally struggle with Dyslexia and ADHD, so I can share tools and methods that worked well for me when learning content in school. I firmly believe that every student can succeed in a subject if they invest enough time into learning it and if the concepts are explained to them well. When I am working with a new student I try to figure out what kinds of explanations reach them the best and incorporate those into my lesson plans. I most enjoy students who are motivated and willing to put in the effort to master what they are trying to learn.
