About Me

I have been teaching for 7 years. I have taught everything from Pre-K to college. I am a certified teacher in math 5-9, K-6, Reading, ESOL, and ESE. I teach a learning strategies class on a regular basis but I enjoy working with students of all ages. I focused on basic reading skills and phonics in my master's program. However, I am a math and science person at heart! I enjoying teaching people how to learn and helping them find out the way that they learn best. I focus a lot on strategies to help the students learn to be self-sufficient. I think organization and time management is very important. I provide step by step instruction and help the student learn how to break down problems to better tackle it and find the solution. I believe it is important to understand everyone learns differently and I enjoy helping others find the way that they learn best and learn how to use it to be successful.
