My professors and peers gave me critical feedback on my writing, helping me hone my editorial skills, and write clean, sharp sentences. They also introduced me to a diverse assortment of authors and poets. I continue to be inspired by literature, especially contemporary American, and am always on the lookout for a fantastic book. In 2012, I moved to Seoul, South Korea to teach English. At the time I was considering a career in education, and this was an opportunity that allowed me to give teaching a try as well as travel the world. I loved living and working abroad because there was always a new challenge, whether it was learning the Korean language or even something as simple as finding a post office. I soon found that the more I developed my teaching skills the more I enjoyed it, which led me to stay there for nearly four years. Over the course of those four years I had a variety of teaching jobs, including positions as an elementary school teacher, a middle school teacher, and a tutor for children and adults. Since returning from Seoul I have been pursuing my Ohio teaching certification. In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing, as well as exercising and taking photographs.
