About Me

Hi! I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and communication with a minor in creative writing. For the past decade, I have been teaching and tutoring children ages 4-16, and I love knowing that I am helping them become more confident, competent learners. I strongly believe in positive reinforcement and utilizing enthusiasm and excitement to foster learning, and I think that creating a comfortable and encouraging environment for children who are struggling is key to their success. I am all about high fives and positive energy, and I love watching improvement and confidence gained through small victories that gradually blossom into big achievements.

Students need to be provided with an environment where they feel safe and willing to make mistakes and learn from them. I want to encourage my students to be confident learners and fearless achievers. How would you help a student stay motivated? Staying motivated requires constant encouragement and enthusiasm for learning. Keeping things interested and keeping spirits high are what make a student want to learn and want to try harder. If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
