About Me
I am currently a student at Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences, persuading a degree in biological sciences major and chemistry minor. I was born and brought up in India, and also did my schooling there in one of the most academically competitive environment. One of my hobbies is to play cricket, the sport I am very passionate about. I also play for a club here in different leagues in New Jersey, and I am also a part of the Rutgers Cricket Team. Being 20 years old, tutoring has been an integral part of my early professional life. Although I never thought of being in this field in a professional way, I started tutoring at an unprofessional level since the age of 17. I used to tutor middle school students for Mathematics and Science (Science includes basic Chemistry, Physics, and Biology) in India. And after coming to the US, I started tutoring at a professional level at the Hudson County Community College tutoring centers, where I completed my earlier college studies. I was a STEM division tutor, and my subjects included all levels of Math till Calculus 1, Physics, and Chemistry. I earned valuable experience at a professional level for one year from the tutoring center. I tutored students of all ages above 18. I also conducted a couple of workshops for basic and college Algebra handling a group of students at a time. When I start tutoring with a new student, in my first session I make sure that the student has a proper basic understanding of the subject, so that they can succeed in the subject more easily. My second goal after that is to make sure the student understands the logic behind the math being done because I believe that it is important to understand the concept, and is always the top priority on my tutoring checklist. The only area I would be worried about the student will be if he doesn't have an interest in the subject, and is studying it for the sake of getting grades. I always welcome negative feedbacks on my tutoring, as it helps me get better. I will always be available for extra help whenever a student needs it, and will always keep a better balance in the relation with my student.
