About Me

I'm an enthusiastic, lifelong student who enjoys sharing that enthusiasm - and knowledge - with others. My knowledge base comes partially from my undergraduate training in anthropology, but even moreso from my return to school to pursue a career as a physician assistant. I fell in love with biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology, and have been tutoring those subjects ever since. It has been a varied, rewarding experience, ranging in context from private sessions to group workshops to the hectic environment of a busy college learning center. Through it all, I've been able to hone my teaching craft, and also develop an appreciation for working with people to help them achieve their goals. Being able to work with people in the context of subjects I love is, therefore, a dream come true. I plan for teaching to remain an important part of my life for a long time to come. In the midst of tutoring and pursuing my professional dream of becoming a physician assistant, I enjoy reading, astronomy, swing dancing, fitness, and far too many other hobbies to list. I believe it is crucial to always be ready to learn and to experience. The examined life is filled with wonder.
