I also have experience with ESL and ELL students. I enjoy English because it helps to illustrate ideas and tell stories, and can vicariously include others in an experience or event or make them see things from a perspective they might not otherwise have considered. I have experience in tutoring all aspects of the writing process, from the beginning, such as brainstorming ideas, to later revisions of a finished product. I'm also quite familiar with reading comprehension and knowledge acquisition, and have a strong background in literature in English as well as literary devices and storytelling tropes. My tutoring style is didactic but engaging, helping to inform students of any issues they might face and providing solutions that may help them in overcoming such difficulties. I also am interested in English culture, language, and history.

I enjoy French language and culture, English history, PBS, reading, crafts, Star Trek, and I rollerblade when I can find the time.
