About Me

I have a Master's in Biology from VCU in which my focus was on population genetics. I have worked with a wide range of students over the course of many years. I began tutoring and teaching in college, where I also taught courses in Biology, and have since worked with students aged 5-12 with a program called Mad Science. I am currently a certified teacher, where I teach gifted children at the high school level. Over the past few years, I have tutored SOL prep in Biology, Math and Chemistry. In addition to my work with Varsity Tutors, I am also teaching Biology at a community college, and am tutoring in an after school program at an elementary school. Not only have I worked with a wide range of students, I also have experience with ESL students, gifted students, and students with disabilities. Teaching is my passion, and I truly enjoy it!
