I have been a math teacher in the public school system for twenty (20) years. Throughout the years, I have seen growth in my students' academics as it relates to math. As a result of this growth, I have received a level 5 status, (which is the highest score), on my TVAAS scores the last four years. I attribute those results to my teaching strategies, classroom management skills, and close relationship with my students. I was nominated for "Teacher of the Year" for the 2014-2015 school year. I believe all students have the ability to learn regardless of their gender, economic status, or learning disabilities. My job as a tutor is to implement methods that will reach every student to become confident in solving problems and to use their critical thinking skills.
