I'm an alumna of Jacksonville University. I've worked as a Clinician, focusing on helping children with learning difficulties and disabilities. I have particular experience working with children with dyslexia. I can help with reading comprehension, fluency, and spelling. I use symbol imagery for phonological and orthographic processing to help the student "picture" what they are reading and spelling. I have been helping children read for 7 years. I have also worked as a substitute teacher for Duval County Schools. I really enjoy tutoring elementary math, reading fluency, reading comprehension, spelling, and vocabulary. I believe reading is the foundation of success to all other academic subjects.
