About Me

I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where I earned by B.S. in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. Currently, I attend the University of Richmond, where I am working to become a licensed teacher. Over the past 6 years I have had the pleasure of working with students as young as 2nd grade, all the way up to the college level. I prefer the sciences (biology, chemistry, Earth science) and math (elementary to algebra II). When tutoring, I encourage my students arrive at the solution by continuously asking questions, rather than directly giving answers. I also enjoy the use of manipulatives to speak to a wider range of learning styles, and to add an element of fun to the learning process. My experiences have allowed me to effectively manage my time and to work with a wide demographic of students. I look forward to helping my clients succeed in the classroom, and ultimately discover their potential. Hobbies: books, writing, reading, music, art
