About Me

I am very excited to be a part of Varsity Tutors and involved with a tutoring program dedicated to academic excellence. Being a high school teacher, I have dedicated my life to helping students realize their potential and experience success in their math classes. As a tutor with Varsity Tutors, I will bring the same enthusiasm, passion for learning, and commitment to success to each tutoring opportunity as I have to my high school classes for the last 24 years. I enjoy most sports and come from a background of coaching and playing sports from youth leagues to the collegiate level. I have had the opportunity to teach many student-athletes and enjoy working sports analogies into some of my teaching to help athletes understand the material from a little different perspective. My faith and family are the two most important aspects of my life. As a Christian, I want to be the man, husband, and father God has called me to be. As a teacher I am also involved as a co-sponsor of two faith based clubs, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Youth Alive, at the high school where I teach.
