About Me

I am an alumna of New York University with a Masters in TESOL/Adults & Linguistics. I have taught Academic Writing to both undergraduate and graduate students and have had great results. Not only did their writing improve but their analytical and critical thinking skills did as well. I also have taught students Spanish at the beginner, intermediate and high intermediate levels with exorbitant success. In addition to teaching students basic core skills, I have prepared students for standardized exams such as the TOEFL for English Language Learners, SAT Reading and GRE Analytical Writing. I hope to impart knowledge and guide students to their ultimate educational objective.

When I prepare students for the TOEFL exam, some of the strategies I incorporate in the lessons are active reading; focus on main idea, details and inference, and vocabulary building; word associations; and interactive grammar and listening exercises in order to promote greater comprehension.
