About Me

I graduated from Defiance College (Ohio) with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. After two years of teaching elementary in Indianapolis, IN, I moved to Florida. For nine years, I taught high school Math courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Math for College Readiness and many more. This past year I moved to Miami and have been the Math Coach in a middle school. Throughout my teaching career, I have tutored many students along the way. I am very passionate about teaching and mathematics. I truly enjoy helping students understand the material, but also love teaching them how to use critical thinking skills. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have recently found a new passion for kayaking. Personally, I enjoy anything that involves being on or near the water. As for the days when it is not conducive to be on the water, I like to sit back, relax, and watch tv/movie or put together a puzzle.
