About Me

I am a recent graduate from NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. Reflecting on my experience at NYU, I have come to realize the importance/usefulness of Mathematics in our life. Playing the role of a Teaching Assistant and a Math Tutor I have developed leadership and team-work skills. As a tutor I hope to impart the knowledge I have learned. Below is the description of what my role was as a TA and Tutor. I have held the position of Teaching Assistant (TA) for the department of General Engineering and a Tutor for Mathematics Department. As a TA, I have demonstrated and helped students with various multi-disciplinary laboratory experiments instructing and monitoring in the basic use and care of equipment, materials and software, which include LabVIEW, AutoCAD, and MS Project, provided feedback to students on their presentations and teamwork skills, supervised and guided students towards completing their Semester Long Design Project in order to achieve their benchmarks and milestones, helped students with homework and exam questions in mechanics (Physics), and tutored various levels of courses, such as Pre-Calculus, Calculus I and II, Liner Algebra and Differential Equations. Most of the tutoring sessions I have been involved in range from one-to-one, one-to-three, and two-to-thirty. These experiences have helped me develop and improve my leadership skills. Having to run a course with other teaching assistants and interactions with students in a diverse environment has allowed me to become a team player. Such experiences have allowed me to conduct activities safely and communicate with people from different backgrounds. My organizational, communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills has made me capable of undertaking new tasks within and out of my comfort zone.
