About Me

I am a student in the School of International Service at American University, working towards a BA in International Studies. I have experience tutoring one-on-one or large groups, in both English and Spanish. The majority of my time tutoring has been working with elementary school students with reading and writing. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Spanish and English. In my experience, the most effective tutoring occurs when the student can connect one of their interests and the subject matter, in order to make the subject less intimidating and more fun. I believe that education is the most important part of personal development, as well as the most effective tool of global change, and that it can truly change lives. A goal I have is to learn as much about the world as possible, and I hope to share that passion about learning with my students. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, exploring Washington D.C. and traveling.
