About Me

I am an educator with over 8 years of experience tutoring Elementary and Middle School students. I has a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences: Child Development from Florida State University and a Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University in Curriculum and Instruction: Elementary Reading. I am a certified teacher in Florida and Georgia, I have taught second, third and fifth grades. I am a student-centered tutor who is interested in tutoring motivated students. I am flexible and creative in my tutoring methods. I recognize the fact that each student has individual needs, strengths, and weaknesses. I adapt my tutoring methods to best fit the needs of the individual student. My number one concern is finding the approach that best suits the individual student. The continued improvement and success of the individual student is my true motivation. I create a rapport with students which allows them to feel at ease and build confidence in their own capabilities through the support and encouragement she provides them. All this, while making learning fun, which I believe to be an important part in helping students to develop an ongoing passion for learning. In my spare time, I love to read and listen to music.
