About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Florida and The University of St. Thomas. I received my Bachelor of Science in Political Science and then my Masters in Education with a focus on teacher leadership. Upon graduation from UF, I joined Teach For America and began working here in Houston. I have taught American History to underprivileged 8th graders for five years now as well as worked with both the Houston Independent School District and Teach For America in training their newest educators. In these roles I have seen amazing results from both children and adult learners while also having fun. While I tutor and teach a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about American History. I am a firm proponent of equipping students with the reading and writing skills necessary to excel at the collegiate level. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, coaching football and track & field, as well as traveling.
