About Me

I graduated from Denison University in Ohio with a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish and a minor in Political Science. While attending Denison I played Varsity soccer all four years and ran track for 2 years. I, also, studied abroad for a semester in Valencia, Spain. After graduation I was a volunteer in the Republic of Panama. Since my return, I have been teaching students Spanish in classes ranging from 4th year IB elective to 9th grade required exposed me to a broad range of learning styles, abilities and incentives. I am extremely passionate about the Spanish language and the history and culture in the Spanish speaking world. I also enjoy discussing and studying history. I would describe myself as passionate, intelligent, energetic and athletic. I jog daily, and compete in half-marathons and long distance relay races in locations around the United States. I also play on a co-ed adult soccer team weekly and occasionally an adult kick ball team. Reading avidly, gardening and landscaping, and spending time with my family represent other important leisure time activities.
