About Me

I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Rochester where I received a Bachelor's degree with double majors in History and International Affairs. I focused my studies on 20th Century European History and Global Security Policy. During college, I spent a semester in Brussels, Belgium, where I honed my French and ate far more chocolate than is ever advisable. After graduation, I moved to China, where I taught English to high school students and started a tutoring business for kids from ages 5-17. While I tutor on broad range of subjects, my favorites are history and French. I also love working with students on their writing and preparing for standardized tests. I take time to evaluate my students' individual learning styles and goals, and I craft my approach around their needs. There is nothing more rewarding to me than when a student's hard work is rewarded with a huge improvement or when they get the A on that essay we spent days perfecting. In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, snowboarding, and scuba diving.
