Tutoring is something I have been doing for quite some time with students of all ages. Although I cover a few different subjects, most of my students have come to me for either Writing or Reading. I currently tutor Writing, Reading, European History, and Spanish. My favorite subject to tutor is any type of Writing because I love being able to help students build up a skill that is incredibly vital regardless of which direction they take in life. My tutoring style is laid-back but extremely interactive. I enjoy guiding the student through each lesson by quizzing them periodically on the material and explaining things thoroughly and coherently. I often say that dedication and perseverance are the two things I am most looking for in a student. It does not matter if you keep getting things wrong just so long as you try your best to stay focused. When I'm not tutoring I am often volunteering at a local psychiatric hospital, playing the guitar or drums, or trying to find a pick-up volleyball game to play.
