About Me

I am an education specialist having 25 years of expertise and experience in Special Education, Elementary, Secondary and Adult education. I have a Bachelor of Education from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with emphasis in Special education and Elementary education. I also have a Master of Education degree in Special Education. I furthered in education and received a Supervisory Certification in Special Education Curriculum and Instruction at Millersville University. I also have earned my Developmental Therapy certification as well as Applied Behavior Analysis Certification. I received my Neuro-Linguistic Specialist Certification in order to maximize my understanding of brain plasticity and how it impacts the learning of our children, teens and adults. I have coached and tutored private clients with learning challenges in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.I tutor a broad range of subjects and ages but am most passionate about resolving learning challenges in the elementary students. I am a firm proponent of empowering the client to be an independent learner by teaching the client how they learn best and providing strategies to facilitate their learning style. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking in Fairmount Park, music and sports.
