About Me
HelloMy name is Matthew, and I work as a Freelance Editor/Writer. I worked on the editorial staff of a medical publication before recently changing my path to education. I graduated with a Bachelors in English from Binghamton University in 2011, and I am well versed in reading, writing, grammar, and the SATs. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Adolescence Education/Special Education from C.W. Post. My interest in tutoring spawns from my desire to teach. It is vital to possess reading comprehension and writing skills. These abilities not only aid in succeeding in school but also assist in professional pursuits outside of the classroom. Think of how important it is to write coherently and comprehend what you read! I love making English fun for students. I am interested in providing students with the knowledge to excel in English. My tutoring style focuses on three keys: repetition, skill development, and comprehension. Most importantly, I strive to be creative, outgoing, and effective. I don't want to make you sit in a classroom; you get enough of that during the school day. Our sessions will be interactive and fun. I tutor for the SAT (Reading/Writing), GRE (English), Regents (English), and AP (Composition, Literature). I also tutor students in advancing their reading comprehension, writing or grammar skills, creative writing, or public speaking. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
