About Me

I am someone who has a real passion for teaching. I truly believe that with patience, understanding and the right method of teaching that a child can learn. I have 12 years of teaching experience in the classroom and 8 years of tutoring experience in various subjects. I am willing and able to tutor in any elementary subject(Pre - Kindergarten through 5th grade)and have a special affinity for reading and language. I also tutor in reading, language and social studies up to 8th grade and some selective high school courses. I am completely bilingual and am able to tutor in Spanish through the high school level. My tutoring style is focused but understanding and very patient. I really take the time to make sure the student understands what he/she is working on. In my spare time I like to read and spend time with my family. My interests include arts and crafts, Houston and Texas history, the arts, and cooking. I am a proud Native Texan but also love learning about people from different walks of life and other cultures.
