I'm New York City born and raised. I graduated from the University of Chicago last year with a degree in East Asian Languages and Civilizations. I am developing my own teaching methods to evolve traditional East Asian and French language acquisition, and to do this I need even more experience. My course of study has been directed at learning as much as I can about the culture, economy, and history of East Asia, China and Japan in particular. I view myself as someone who is entrepreneurial, collegial, individually motivated to produce high quality work, as well as foster a love of the subject which I teach. I am compassionate and enjoy working with both children and adults. I believe I have something to learn from everyone I meet.

I am a third-year undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University studying Voice and Opera Performance with minors in Music Education and French and Francophone Studies. My ultimate goal is to become a teacher because I love working with students to help them achieve mastery of their subject(s)!

I am a recent graduate of Wagner College who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in French. I am currently a RN at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the Pediatric ICU and come with fresh experience in NCLEX/TEAS test prep and clinical fieldwork. I have tutored students in the past with Kumon, in private, and while in university, so I'm very familiar working with students of all ages (children and adults alike), and very excited to begin work with Varsity Tutors! I am a law student and a paralegal. I am excited about opportunities to help people and teaching has always been one of my passions. Inevitably, I always find myself drawn to academia and I think this is just an extension of that desire. I can't wait to help you succeed.

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Public Health at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. I received my B.A. in Psychology and Environmental Studies at Wesleyan University. In high school, I was selected by my teachers to tutor classmates in Chemistry, Physics, and Geometry. I helped students with homework problems and with test preparation (both for in-class exams and for the SAT Subject Tests). As an undergraduate, I was a teaching assistant for introductory Russian, and worked with students both in group and in individual sessions.

I am a recent graduate of Bowdoin College with a BA in Biology, English, and Theater. In addition, I spent a year in France at the Universit Paris 1 Panthon-Sorbonne, where I obtained an LLM (master of laws) in French, European, and international law. Outside of academia, I have worked as a document translator and an in-court interpreter in both French and Spanish and have worked directly with French- and Spanish-speaking clients in legal and financial settings. As an undergraduate student, I was French-language liaison to the Modern Languages and Cultures Undergraduate Council, in which position I oversaw tutoring sessions, organized conversation and culture hours, and represented the interests of Francophone students and French learners at Council meetings. In addition, I co-directed an outreach program to local elementary schools, teaching both French and Spanish to children in grades K-4.
