I'm passionate about teaching. I do my best learning when I need to teach a subject from different angles of understanding.

I am a recent graduate from Tufts University with a major in International Relations and a minor in Economics. I have been helping students since I was in middle school working with students of all ages from kindergarten to college. Prior to spending four years at Tufts, I attended a boarding school in Massachusetts where I was committed to tutoring middle school students at a local Boys and Girls' Club for all four years. I always enjoyed seeing the energy of younger students who were eager to learn and their visible improvements. I also worked as a teaching assistant for an SAT prep center where I tutored SAT verbal and writing along with SAT II literature and math. I moved to Las Vegas a few months ago after finishing up college, and I would love to get back to working with students on a regular basis because I understand the importance of education and enjoy helping and seeing results. My favorite subject to teach is SAT because with the right help it is a standardized test that can see huge improvements in scores. Writing section is especially my forte because I think that grammar is the basic building block of the English language that deserves a little more attention in school. I feel a great sense of fulfillment when students start to understand the different structures of English sentences and appreciate such knowledge. In my spare time, I like to stay active and go to yoga classes, including antigravity yoga, and drive to national parks for fresh air. I am also a big foodie who enjoys regular trips to different restaurants with friends and an avid movie fan. I look forward to meeting with students here in Las Vegas!

I'm a 2016 graduate of Pepperdine University with my Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Currently I'm preparing to apply to optometry school; I hope to be accepted for the 2018-19 academic year. During my time in college, I was involved as a teaching assistant for General Chemistry I and II laboratory, as a tutor for General Chemistry I, as a member of the Regents Scholar Student Board, and as a "small group" leader through multiple organizations. I am a member of the sorority Pi Beta Phi and held the positions of Historian, Senior Transition Leader, and member of the Leadership and Nominating Committee during my undergraduate years. As far as tutoring goes, I offer my services to students of all ages and in numerous subjects. I particularly enjoy tutoring the STEM subjects. I also thoroughly enjoy working with female STEM students, which allows me to serve as a role model and to offer additional encouragement for my female students to not lose interest in STEM subjects. A large part of my tutoring style focuses on logical thinking for how to tackle new and difficult problems using previous knoledge and educated hypotheses; I have found that my students find both success and a boost in confidence using my methodology. And now that I have experience, I love to help others along the learning journey. I have degrees in English and education from Rice University, UT Austin, Texas State, and Texas A&M. I also studied abroad in England at the University of East Anglia and have traveled to many countries. I tutor English and Spanish (my family is from Mexico City). My favorite thing to tutor is writing, and I have taught writing from the Kindergarten-graduate school (Ph.D.) level (what I currently do). I am here to share tools and tips to help you succeed in your learning journey.

I am a student at the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science and Criminal Justice. I have a strong background in math and science. I have taken and mastered up to Calculus 2, as well as multiple upper level biology and chemistry courses at the university level.

I'm a recent graduate of Dartmouth College. I studied government and studio art, with a focus on the political philosophy of Western society in modern colonies. I'm from Hilo, Hawai'i and I'm especially passionate about my home, land conservation, and the effects of indigenous lead political movements. I am Martina Zandonella, I am Italian and I have lived in the USA since 2013. Before moving here I have studied in top British Universities and worked in private and public schools the UK. With a Post Graduate Degree in Secondary Education, Languages, I have acquired the pedagogical knowledge of teaching, on top of my prior experience in schools. I am passionate about languages because they open may doors in the worlds and allow better communication, essential in every field. I particularly enjoy teaching Italian, my mother tongue, and Spanish. I tailor-make the lessons to better fit my students and I use variety of techniques including visual, auditory and kinesthetic (movement). I believe each students need to find their most successful learning methods, they need to learn by doing and they should have fun in order to achieve the best results.

I'm home, I'm likely cooking or watching soccer. If I'm traveling for fun, it will likely be to Europe or South America.

I'm dedicated to helping my students in any way I can. I'm a flexible tutor, willing to conform to how my client needs me to help them, whether that be constant hands on or timely chime-ins. Whatever I can do to help, I will do!
