I received my PhD and Masters from Ohio State University and my Bachelors from Michigan State University all in mathematics. I have worked as a professor for 14 years teaching across the standard undergraduate mathematics curriculum. I am passionate about helping people learn math and really love to help them make connections between topics and help them to succeed in their studies.

I am currently a sophomore at Bryn Mawr College. In the 8th grade, due to my exceptional performance in my advanced math class, I was offered the opportunity to tutor for extra credit. Since then, I have enjoyed tutoring and teaching others in a variety of subjects in grade levels PreK-11th for volunteer work and in paid settings. In high school, I took advantage of tutoring opportunities through my membership in Math, English, and National Honor Societies, and National Beta Club. I am working towards a Bachelors degree in Political Science and am also studying Middle Eastern Studies. While I hope to eventually pursue a Juris Doctris, education is a passion I would like to stay involved in throughout my career. Since becoming an RN I have practiced nursing in multiple states at faculties like Vanderbilt and UNC. I have worked in variety of different nursing specialties such as ICU, Burn (Adult and Pediatric), Transplant, Cardiac Care and Neurology. I also completed 140 hours of NICU training.One of my favorite parts of being a nurse has been the opportunity to precept, mentor and prepare new nurses and nursing students for this awesome profession. My interest in the sciences became insatiable in high school as I tackled my first Anatomy and Physiology class, and led me to further my education in courses such as Advanced Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Microbiology, Biology, and Health Science.After being accepted to nursing school I focused on Pharmacology, Ethical Nursing, Medical Surgical Concepts, Critical Care Concepts, Pathophysiology and more. I have extensive knowledge of NCLEX preparation and remember fondly the days spent studying in perpetuity to do well on the exam.I think two of the most important parts of learning are foundational knowledge and confidence in yourself. Often times they go hand in hand and I like to build on both of those skills as we master any content :)

I am an English Language Arts Teacher and primarily work with students that need support with reading, writing, and executive functioning. It is rewarding when you have seen students with lower reading levels in the 9th grade, then go off to college at the end of their 12th grade year. I have a Master of Education in Moderate Disabilities and currently teach grades 7-12. I have supported students with preparing for many standardized tests, such as the MCAS, the ACCUPLACER, and the ACT/SAT English Portions of the exam.

I am a current student at Williams College double majoring in chemistry and Arabic studies concentrating in public health on a pre-med track. I speak English and Latvian fluently, and am learning Arabic and French. I tutor a wide range of subjects, but I especially enjoy tutoring in the sciences because I feel that introducing students to the sheer amount of what is possible in the sciences is an amazing opportunity. I feel that an introduction to science should be molded around a student's interests because teaching a student about something that they are already passionate about will always yield the best results. I am currently studying to become an EMT and enjoy being in the outdoors and tinkering.
