I am proud to be a part of the Varsity Tutors team. In this role I am able to combine two passions of mine: academic success and helping others. I have previously tutored high school and college students in a wide variety of subject areas from English literature to business. I hope to bring my guidance and expertise to students who need it.

I am proud to say my student made it on the school honor roll for the first time. I view tutoring as a form of giving back to my community and as a mutual learning experience for me and my student. I am a concentrator in the History of Science which involves the study of the development of knowledge. It is amazing to see how systems and thought evolve. History of Science has been amazing in changing my consideration of what is science and who gets a chance to live in our world which inspired my change to the non-medical path of history of science towards public health.

I am an 8th grade Language Arts teacher with a passion for reading and writing. I love the way reading a novel can pick you up and bring you anywhere. Someplace magical, someplace mysterious. Writing is an outlet used for expression and can be very therapeutic. Finding your creativity is a fun way to get to know yourself better.

I'm currently a 5th grade teacher at a public school in my hometown. I love to make learning fun, because that's how I learn best. And I want that for my students as well. There's joy in learning and even more when you understand how and why things work. I dedicate myself to breaking things down in pieces that I understand and make learning as fun and relatable as possible. I'm passionate about teaching and removing those obstacles that make school "hard".

I am there to help them learn and to support them as their largest cheerleader. Establishing that helps grow success later on.

I'm a retired professor who taught statistics for many years. To be a good citizen these days, you have to know a little statistics, because many people will try to convince you of many things with statistics, and you need to be able to separate the truth from the lies.
