I am always happy to help someone in any subject than I can. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and I want to see every one of them succeed!

I am a student at Wellesley College pursuing a double major in Chemistry and Computer Science. I have been tutoring both middle schoolers and high schoolers in math for four years now - I specialize in math tutoring and test prep at all levels. I am very goal oriented and I bring this into my sessions - my students and I are constantly setting and readjusting our performance and learning goals. I have worked with both groups and private clients through various different outlets and have experience with both in person and online tutoring - however, through Varsity Tutoring I will only be doing online tutoring sessions. At Wellesley College, I am a member of the varsity tennis team and I hold positions on eboards for various student organizations such as the engineering society and UNICEF. I have a passion for mathematics and learning which I love to share with my students! I am looking to eventually go to graduate school and then work in drug development or another field of chemistry.

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, where I attended Menlo School, one of the top private high schools in California. Given my educational background, I am no stranger to the pressures facing today's students--from schoolwork to extracurriculars to college applications and test prep, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. That's why one of my main goals as a tutor is to ease the stress in students' lives. I'm here to help your workload feel manageable (and hopefully fun!) and to encourage you to do your best work. I take this attitude and my teaching style and adapt it to the needs of each individual student. Hello! My name is Angelika. I am a senior at Fordham University majoring in Biology and minoring is Disability Studies. I expect to graduate Spring 2023. I have tutored since the 7th grade and I love to help people understand concepts that they previously struggled with. I tutor in a variety of subjects but I am most passionate about Algebra, the SAT Grammar section, and the SAT Math Section. I believe that curating a unique approach for each individual is important in their advancement. Everybody is different and therefore their way of learning will be different too! This has helped many of my students raise their grades and confidence when it comes to their studies. In my free time, I enjoy watching cooking videos on YouTube and going to the gym!

I am a Special Education English teacher in Philadelphia with a passion for education. I love working with students of all ages to find their learning style and to meet their personal goals. I also love to laugh and have fun while getting work done!

I am a PhD Candidate in History at the University of California, Berkeley but am currently living in New York while finishing my dissertation on the British Empire in India in the late 18th Century. I am originally from New York City and attended a very academically oriented private school, so I have first-hand experience with the stresses and concerns many students face, regardless of the school they attend. I benefited from private tuition myself and would like to consider my story a successful one, therefore I hope to carry on the benefits of tutoring to my own students.

I am currently running the head of math department and testing coordinator at my current school this school year. I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in educational leadership. I am. My mother is a 2nd-grade teacher and my father is a middle school vice principal and that combination of discipline, leadership, and nurturing as a part of the educational experience has been instilled in me from a very young age. As a child, I had to overcome my own personal challenges in order to allow my intellect to shine. I have ADHD and in the elementary grades was labeled a class clown, however, I learned to conquer my learning disability and proceeded to excel. For high school, I attended Wyoming Seminary Upper School, a private boarding school in North East, PA, and my experience and education I received there helped mold me into a conscious global citizen set on making an impact in this world. I am currently an Intervention Specialist, Writer, and Personal Tutor that thoroughly loves helping children, adolescents, and college students master subjects that are challenging to them. As an Intervention Specialist I work in a K-5 school where I work with small groups of students that need additional support in English/Language Arts and Math. Additionally, I especially have a love for literature and reading and have aspirations to become a children's/ young adult author. I am also a published poet and plan on pursuing further publications in the future. The feeling I get when I am able to help build someone's confidence and skills is indescribable. As a previous Substitute Teacher, I have gained experience with students in all grade levels and abilities ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, as well as students with special needs including Autism, ADD/ADHD, vision impairment, and multiple disabilities. I am dedicated to all of my students and approach their education with the same ferocity regardless of ability or skills. Also, I promise that I will always do my best to make things fun and exciting. If you're not laughing you're not learning! In my free time, I enjoy staying physically fit and appreciating all forms of art. I am dedicated to fitness and enjoy lifting weights, running, yoga, hiking, and participating in recreational team sports such as softball and volleyball. I believe that sports and physical activity are necessary for children to build leadership skills and learn how to cooperate with others and have helped coach an intramural children's baseball team for low-income students. I also have a love for music and visual art and frequently attend concerts, art exhibits, and poetry readings. I have a passion for life and enjoy sharing that passion with my students and others, helping them to realize and cherish their own desires and interests.

I am a passionate writer with a Bachelor's degree in English (Creative Writing) and Communications (Journalism) from the University of Washington. I have written professionally for nearly twenty years. I'm excited to work with middle school, high school, and adult students. My approach centers on building conversational relationships with students, allowing them to feel comfortable expressing their own ideas. I believe that writing is a collaborative journey; by engaging in open dialogue, I help students articulate their thoughts and craft their unique voices. I'm here to help students find their best ideas! My background as a Communications Manager for a large-scale company also allows me to help students with more structured writing assignments. Additionally, as an agented writer I am particularly excited to assist students with academic essays, personal statements for college applications and creative pieces. Crafting a story within set parameters is my specialty! I aim to empower students no matter their skill level. Writing is not just a skill, but a powerful means of self-expression. Every student is capable of writing success!
