I am a undergraduate student studying Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I live in Portland, Oregon in the summer but right now I'm in Worcester, Massachusetts. I love working with students and teaching math!

I am currently a student at Quinsigamond Community College. I am triple majoring in Mechatronics Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation Electrical Engineering, and Photonics Electrical Engineering. I have tutored students before from ages 5-18. I tutor in a wide variety of subjects, but I am most passionate about math and science. I have experience helping students who are neurodivergent and/or have learning disabilities. I myself have ADHD and I've gathered an arsenal of different learning habits that students can try if they have difficulty with executive function. My goal is to make students feel like they have more control over their education by helping them discover their learning styles and identifying study strategies that they can use in the future. In my free time I like to see new places, play video games, code, and work on crafts/projects.

I am a patient, kind, and a confident fit for a student seeking English (up to high school level for testing, writing assistance to university standard), Japanese (experience teaching age 12-14, early beginner to intermediate level/JLPT N5+N4), and Environmental Studies (AP test prep).I was a high honors/Dean's List student throughout my academic career. The privilege of studying Japanese at Phillips Exeter Academy for four years is something I continue to be grateful for every day. I spent another year in college studying the language, before turning to the marketplace for additional training. I was a server at a sushi restaurant for 2 years. I learned how to embarrass myself a little less every day contributing to noise of the small kitchen staff. I also learned how to most respectfully serve each of my guests. I am studying to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test at the N3 level this December (as they host the exam annually). I'm not nearly as fluent as I am in my native tongue, however I think it gives me great perspective to empathize with students feeling disconnected to their passion for grammar (in their first or second language).I got my B.A. in Global Environmental Studies from Clark University where I studied geography, management, and entrepreneurship. My dream is to be self-employed and consulting on the development and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. I volunteer time to serve as the Vice Chair of the Ambassador Advisory Council for the Global Citizens Initiative, which essentially means I'm always looking to engage in thoughtful discussion and project-based learning experiences with diverse, intelligent, motivated, young people from all corners of the globe. I look forward to meeting even more students!

I have been working with students at all levels on several topics for over a decade. I have a B.S. in physics, and a master's in Nuclear Science and Engineering from WPI. I completed my second master's in particle astrophysics at the university of Strasbourg in France. I love getting students excited about learning and helping them through difficult topics. One of my favorite challenges is working with students to figure out their specific learning styles to optimize their academic performance.

I am a rising senior at Wellesley College majoring in Music and American Studies. During my first year at college, I started tutoring students in grades K-12 at the Mathnasium center in Wellesley, MA. The following two years, I tutored my peers taking courses in American Popular Music, Jazz Music Theory, and Jazz History. Over the past two years, I've developed a passion for helping students pursue writing and research topics that reflect their identities and personal histories. By framing education as a lens through which to perceive themselves, students have been infinitely more engaged. I'm most passionate in tutoring topics related to music history, but interestedly, I've come to deeply appreciate and value writing, research, and analysis skills. Outside of the classroom, I play alto saxophone in a couple of jazz groups, read graphic novels, bake, knit/crochet, and am learning to skate on a longboard!

I taught classes of 20-30 students diligently, making sure they were ready to continue their Spanish major/ minor in college.I have an extensive experience of over two years in teaching ESL students from the age of 5-18 privately. I have worked on reading comprehension, writing skills and exam preparation with my students, depending on their levels and needs.I am a firm believer in hands-on teaching the material and making it as fun and engaging as possible.

I am extremely passionate about helping high school students craft meaningful and outstanding personal statements. During our sessions, we will brainstorm essay ideas, fine-tune word choice/tone/voice, and tailor essays to specific schools. My goal is to help students write essays that will stand out to the admissions officers of their dream school.
