I am a rising senior at Georgia State University studying poetry and religions. I have an extensive background in writing that includes long essays and creative pieces. I also grew up speaking some Spanish at home, as well as taking over ten years of Spanish classes in school. I hope to become totally fluent someday, so I sharpen my skills with DuoLingo daily.Writing is my true passion, and my goal is to help empower others to be able to use this skill. I participated in Georgia State University's study abroad program in Perugia, Italy, where I studied in depth the culture and history as well as the language. I have worked primarily with high school and college students in both on-level and advanced language courses, and I have also had the opportunity to work with individuals for whom English is a second language. I enjoy teaching Grammar and Mechanics along with Composition and Writing, and I strongly believe in reading and listening to music to reinforce excellent use of any language. During my college career, I volunteered at a local shelter for women and children, and spent evenings helping kids of all ages with their homework and organizing games and activities. Some of my favorite pastimes include reading, swimming, traveling and doing volunteer work for various pet rescues.

I have been tutoring for almost two years now. Over those years, I specialized in both general and organic chemistry. I have found that it is beneficial to help others succeed in chemistry by taking the time to understand where the student is coming from on an academic level, and being to able to relate the topic to the student in the best possible way without over-complicating the material.

I graduated from Emory University in May of 2016 with a BSc in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. I started tutoring peers my freshman year in General Biology, and gradually moved on to other subjects, such as Biochemistry and MCAT prep as I learned the topics myself.
