How can German tutoring help you?

Many high school and college students elect to take a foreign language. German is a notoriously challenging subject to learn for native English speakers. When you learn German, you have to learn new concepts, including conjugation, grammar, and feminine and masculine words. A tutor may try to help you understand these new concepts and excel in your German class.

One way to prepare for your German course is an expert tutor in Denver who may create a study plan just for you. Your tutor may use your current knowledge of German to build off of to avoid covering topics that you have understood and move on to topics you need help with. Your tutor may also allow you to work through the material at your own pace, spend more time on topics that you need to work on, and skip over topics that you have understood. Your tutor may provide you with more efficient study skills to try to help you retain more information. Math homework: Problems in the book & a mini lesson on the Pythagorean theorem. 4-pg Science worksheet on Air Pressure and Altitude English: The student was behind on doing his study guide questions, character cards, and vocabulary.  It is all due tomorrow.  We had to spend quite a bit of time getting caught up on that.  I also discussed with him the importance of keeping up with his work and noting deadlines on his calendar.

German Tutoring review by Michael in Denver, CO
We talked briefly about birthdays. Then we discussed foods in relation to likes and dislikes. We listed the three meals of the day along with typical and favorite foods for each meal. We also reviewed using different forms of "here" and "there" to describe location. In talking about travel, we drew pictures to imagine which items might be packed in a suitcase. Finally, the girls were introduced to some vocabulary for places that they typically go.

The student had a homework packet about Mendelian Genetics, Punnett squares, and pedigree analysis that we completed together. Since she is trying to improve her short answer responses I had her complete the 4 short answer questions they way she should do it on an exam. She filled in brief responses but I guided her to the conclusion that more information could be added to make the answer more complete. We then went over some material from earlier in the semester including: lipids, carbohydrates, and proteins.

The student and I had a very good, productive session. He has a final project in social studies on which we focused our attention. We worked on the one-page report regarding a cultural item. Since he is doing his project on Mexico, he decided to investigate the piñata. We conducted research and he worked to pick out the important parts that needed to be included in his report. He will still need to edit his report, but he definitely has a solid start.
