I am currently teaching math at Chaparral high school. The subjects I taught for the past three years include Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and College preparatory math. Overall I have been working in academic areas for the last 10 years studying, teaching and tutoring. I know how to help students in their specific subject related problems as well as improving study skills. I have studied chemical engineering both in my undergraduate and graduate programs, and because math is the foundation of engineering and used in problem solving, I am also confident in my abilities to help in that subject. I am open minded and easy to talk.

I'm a 2016 graduate of Pepperdine University with my Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Currently I'm preparing to apply to optometry school; I hope to be accepted for the 2018-19 academic year. During my time in college, I was involved as a teaching assistant for General Chemistry I and II laboratory, as a tutor for General Chemistry I, as a member of the Regents Scholar Student Board, and as a "small group" leader through multiple organizations. I am a member of the sorority Pi Beta Phi and held the positions of Historian, Senior Transition Leader, and member of the Leadership and Nominating Committee during my undergraduate years. As far as tutoring goes, I offer my services to students of all ages and in numerous subjects. I particularly enjoy tutoring the STEM subjects. I also thoroughly enjoy working with female STEM students, which allows me to serve as a role model and to offer additional encouragement for my female students to not lose interest in STEM subjects. A large part of my tutoring style focuses on logical thinking for how to tackle new and difficult problems using previous knoledge and educated hypotheses; I have found that my students find both success and a boost in confidence using my methodology. And now that I have experience, I love to help others along the learning journey. I have degrees in English and education from Rice University, UT Austin, Texas State, and Texas A&M. I also studied abroad in England at the University of East Anglia and have traveled to many countries. I tutor English and Spanish (my family is from Mexico City). My favorite thing to tutor is writing, and I have taught writing from the Kindergarten-graduate school (Ph.D.) level (what I currently do). I'm a recent graduate of Dartmouth College. I studied government and studio art, with a focus on the political philosophy of Western society in modern colonies. I'm from Hilo, Hawai'i and I'm especially passionate about my home, land conservation, and the effects of indigenous lead political movements. I am Martina Zandonella, I am Italian and I have lived in the USA since 2013. Before moving here I have studied in top British Universities and worked in private and public schools the UK. With a Post Graduate Degree in Secondary Education, Languages, I have acquired the pedagogical knowledge of teaching, on top of my prior experience in schools. I am passionate about languages because they open may doors in the worlds and allow better communication, essential in every field. I particularly enjoy teaching Italian, my mother tongue, and Spanish. I tailor-make the lessons to better fit my students and I use variety of techniques including visual, auditory and kinesthetic (movement). I believe each students need to find their most successful learning methods, they need to learn by doing and they should have fun in order to achieve the best results.

I am a student at the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science and Criminal Justice. I have a strong background in math and science. I have taken and mastered up to Calculus 2, as well as multiple upper level biology and chemistry courses at the university level.
