I am a hardworking and motivated individual, who has recently completed her Associate degree in Science at Union County College. While I was studying at UCC, I discovered my passion for helping others with math, and decided to work at the Academic Learning Center. Working as a math tutor was a big opportunity for me because I could learn how to teach math, and how to make students understand it; especially those who does not like it. I know that math may be very hard for some students, but I have many helpful tools that might make students understand math. My favorite subjects to tutor are geometry, algebra and calculus because I had good professors who gave me a good background in those subjects. In my spare time, I like to go out with my friends, read books, and go swimming.

I will strive to meet you where you are, to be realistic and supportive, and to help you gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to achieve your goals.My first time tutoring was back in elementary school, as an accelerated math student, I had time in the mornings to tutor 3rd grade math. When I was in graduate school, I tutored a collegiate athlete during the summer.My preference is to work with elementary age students, algebra students, accounting students, and intro to French students.

I am a graduate of the Universidad del Valle, Colombia. I received my Bachelor in Chemical Engineering. Since graduation, I have been living in the United States where I finished my Associate in Sciences focused in Mathematics at Union County College. I have been working at the Academic Learning Center of this college for about two years and have tutored different levels of Mathematics and Spanish. My experience as a tutor has been incredible. I enjoy working with students who care about their education. It is really satisfying to see how independent students can become through the tutoring process. I believe education is the key to having a better quality of life. In my free, time I enjoy taking dancing classes and reading.
