About Me

I've been a jack of many trades through my life, learning lots of skills over the years. In regards to my education, I feel I'm still earning it every day. But where I formally studied was Lone Star College - Cy-Fair. I graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in 2008. Following that, I enrolled at UTSA to pursue a Biology degree. Two years later, I enlisted in the military. I've been working with students ever since I was attending school, myself. Growing up, I did a lot of tutoring to help my friends. I always enjoyed it when I helped others succeed with me. My time in Basic Training, I managed to tutor a quarter of my platoon to improve their scores for a required test from a failing grade, to passing. What makes me passionate about helping students is that I always feel everybody deserves a shot. During my 10 years working in a Hosting company, I learned many skills. The one skill I found myself to be the one I became most passionate about was Coaching. It was in the last 6 years of working there that I found my passion coaching my many peers towards their success. Currently, I'm tutoring for Certified ScrumMaster and other Technical Certifications. I hold 3 Agile Certifications, myself; Professional Scrum Master I, Certified Scrum Master, and Certified Scrum Product Owner. I found that with my skills and successes as a Coach, matched with my knowledge and understanding of Scrum, I want to make it my goal to help Tutor others towards success in their quest for Scrum Master certification. My Teaching Philosophy is often more Socratic. I've always questioned things in life, and that never stopped when I coached. What I had to train myself to do was ask the right questions, to help figure out how I can guide my colleagues towards their goals. My interests outside of academia are video games and streaming with my friends and traveling and creating new memories with my lovely wife.
