I am a recent graduate of Millikin University. While there, I tutored math, led the robotics team, participated in math competitions, and finally received a bachelor's of science in Mathematics, with minors in Finance and Industrial Engineering. I lived in the California desert-valley for a couple years before attending Millikin, which, when coupled with my suburb upbringing, has provided for me a very wide view of the world. Two things in common from it all are my love for teaching and tutoring math and my desire to help others; I love seeing eyes open wide to understanding! I'm a bit of a talkative person at times; I believe that tutoring should be a bonding experience between the tutor and tutee. I've found in my life that I understand those who understand me much better than strangers. Students who couldn't begin to approach algebra found it out through friendship! I tutor the algebra and calculus areas of math best, but I love trying my knack at other subjects to see if mutual understanding goes farther than the textbook! I like to try a lot of different styles to get each student to see the same concept; there are many different types of learners and we need to discover what type we are. Outside of school, I like getting outside and seeing nature.
