I have been an IB Biology teacher for the last 6 years. Prior to that I trained as a cellular/molecular biologist studying the skin and hair responses to chemotherapies and the molecular mechanisms of mitosis. I earned my Ph.D in 2012 and completed 2 postdoctoral fellowships. I have chosen teaching as a profession because of the relationships I make with my students and the joy that comes from seeing them discover the same love for science that I have.
Undergraduate Degree: Northwest Missouri State University - Bachelor of Science, Biology, General

When I am not teaching I love playing video games and swimming with my son and fiancee. I also enjoy cycling, hiking, and cooking in my free time.
