About Me

I am an experienced educator in the humanities who achieved ABD status (all but dissertation) in a doctoral program for Comparative Literature and Folklore and Ethnomusicology at Indiana University. I hold terminal Masters degrees in each, along with an additional Masters degree in English literature from the University of Rochester. I taught college writing and literature for seven years at Indiana University and I have been privately tutoring for ten years. I've been with Varsity Tutors since 2021 and have tutored students in High School English, World History, ESL, test prep, and more. I love to share my passion for literature, history, and culture with students and encourage them to be more connected with their studies. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and baking, journaling, training my dog, and seeking out new adventures around my home!
