I have a well-rounded background in learning theories and research-based practices of language and literacy education. Both my bachelor's degree in Korean language & literature and doctoral degree in multilingual education along with a wide variety of teaching experiences in different contexts have prepared me to be a flexible and effective educator. During my time working as a Korean lecturer in a university level, I had the opportunity to develop myself as a teacher who alters, adjusts, and changes instruction depending on who is in the classroom and the extent to which those students are achieving. My teaching philosophy is to promote students' engagement by enhancing their interest in Korean language and culture. As a Korean native speaker, I am ready to operationalize my philosophy effectively and successfully.
