I am a highly experienced tutor with 11 years tutoring/teaching experience. I am currently a Chemistry Instructor at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS). My interest in teaching dates to my undergraduate years at Howard University when I would often tutor my classmates and lowerclassmen and would get comments like, "I wish you were the professor of this class." It gives me great joy to see students' eyes light up after understanding a concept I taught. Indeed, teaching is not just something I love, it is my hobby.
My tutoring experience includes tutoring math and science to elementary, middle and high school students, and tutoring/teaching General and Organic Chemistry to college students. In addition to my current instructor position at UCCS, I have also served as Chemistry teaching assistant at Morgan State University and Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at two community colleges (Howard and Anne Arundel) in the state of Maryland. Many of the students I have taught have become very successful. Some have also obtained graduates degrees. Throughout my tutoring/teaching experience, I have received many excellent evaluations from students, parents of the students and my teaching colleagues.
I am a 32-yr old passionate tutor who has worked with diverse populations of students and understands the importance of cultural competence in tutoring. I also demonstrate a high level of commitment and passion to my duties as a tutor.
Please feel free to reach out to me about your tutoring needs and I will gladly respond as quickly as possible.
